Why do you charge a subscription fee?

At Stroke Active, We don’t rely on adverts, you won’t see annoying pop ups, not advertisements for third party products. We respect your privacy and your data. Your data is secure. This means the cost of ongoing development of our platform needs to be met through charging a subscription fee. We have tried to make the subscription fee as affordable as possible while offering a reliable and expanding service.

Who can use Stroke Active?

Stroke Active was designed around the patient, enabling a bespoke and focused rehabilitation program. Patients and Health Care Professionals (Physiotherapists, Speech & Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists) can subscribe to our platform. Patients can also nominate up to two Patient Representatives which will give a family member, carer, close friend access to their Stroke Active dashboard. As a Patient Representative they will become a member of the Patient’s team and can offer support during the rehabilitation process.

As a patient, how do I connect to Health Care Professionals in my area?

Easy. Head to our directory on your dashboard. Your postcode (as defined in your profile) will appear at the top and the directory will list Health Care Professionals closest to your location. You can refine these results by clicking on one of the three specific disciplines. Use the ‘connect’ button to send a request for them to be added to your team. You may wish to call them first.

As a patient, how do I know the Health Care Professionals listed in the directory are qualified?

In the UK, the Health and Care Professions Council is a regulator set up to protect the public. The HCPC keeps a register of professionals who meet their standards for training, professional skills, behavior and health. When a Health Care Professional sets up their profile they are required to enter their HCPC number. The HCPC register can be accessed here. You may wish to ask for proof of qualification once connected.

Why is Stroke Active only available in the UK?

We intend to roll the platform out globally over time. However, we want to incorporate our initial feedback and invest further before expanding into other countries. User feedback is crucial to what we want to achieve so please use the feedback function in the App or on our website.

Do you offer bulk subscriptions to organisations?

Yes! We can create a promotional code, which gives your organisation as many subscriptions as you wish. These can be for any term and any number of users. We can negotiate bulk subscriptions with your organisation. If this is of interest please email subscriptions@strokeactive.com.
